Cloud Solutions Architect In Bristol, BS1

Cloud Solutions Architect — Bristol, BS1

Bristol has firmly established itself as one of the UK's premier technology destinations. With a dynamic cluster of fintech scaleups, aerospace technology firms, advanced manufacturing companies, and creative digital agencies all demanding resilient, enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure, the city's appetite for senior cloud talent has never been greater. Team Staffing Agency is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a forward-thinking Bristol-based organisation for a highly skilled Cloud Solutions Architect — a pivotal role for any professional who wants to shape infrastructure at scale.

This is not a maintenance position. You will be the technical authority at the heart of a multi-cloud transformation programme, translating complex business requirements into elegant, cost-efficient, and security-first architecture across Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). If you are ready to lead cloud strategy from concept to production while mentoring the next generation of cloud engineers, this Bristol opportunity is built for you.

●  Key Stat: Bristol's tech sector employs over 35,000 professionals and contributes more than £1 billion annually to the regional economy — positioning it as the UK's fastest-growing city for cloud and DevOps recruitment outside London. (Tech West England)

What You Will Own & Deliver

As Cloud Solutions Architect, your remit will be broad, strategic, and deeply technical. Day to day you will:

  • Design and document end-to-end multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architectures for enterprise clients
  • Lead cloud migration assessments, workload discovery workshops, and TCO modelling
  • Enforce DevSecOps principles, embedding security controls and compliance at every layer
  • Define Infrastructure-as-Code standards using Terraform, AWS CDK, or Bicep
  • Collaborate with C-suite stakeholders to align cloud strategy with business growth targets
  • Mentor and upskill DevOps engineers, platform engineers, and junior architects
  • Oversee cost optimisation initiatives — FinOps frameworks and reserved-instance strategy
  • Produce architecture decision records (ADRs) and maintain living design documentation
