Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties
- MIG, TIG, and ARC Welding: Perform high-quality welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium components to exact specifications and engineering drawings for structural and architectural elements.
- Metal Fabrication & Assembly: Read and interpret technical drawings to measure, cut, shape, and assemble metal parts using guillotines, saws, rollers, and press brakes. This includes creating bespoke fabrications for complex installations.
- Quality Control & Inspection: Conduct thorough visual inspections of your own work and assist with basic non-destructive testing (NDT) to ensure all welds meet the required British Standards (BS/EN) and client quality audits.
- Site Installation Support: Work both in the workshop and on-site in West End London W1, assisting with the installation, fitting, and final positioning of fabricated items, requiring close collaboration with other trades.
