Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Crowd Management & Access Control: Professionally managing guest entry and exit points, conducting bag searches, checking tickets and wristbands, and ensuring smooth flow to prevent bottlenecks and overcrowding.
• Patrols & Vigilance: Conducting regular patrols of the event perimeter, car parks, and internal areas to deter anti-social behaviour, theft, and identify any potential safety hazards or security breaches.
• Conflict De-escalation & Incident Response: Using excellent communication and interpersonal skills to calmly resolve disputes or diffuse tense situations. Providing first-line response to incidents and liaising with emergency services if required.
• Customer Service & Stewarding: Providing a visible, helpful, and approachable point of contact for the public, offering directions, assistance, and information, thereby enhancing the overall event experience.
• Reporting & Communication: Maintaining accurate and timely logs of incidents, completing shift reports, and effectively communicating with the event control room, team leaders, and other staff via radio.

Essential Requirements & Qualifications

  Valid SIA Licence (Door Supervisor or Security Guarding): This is a mandatory requirement. Your licence must be current and in date. We can advise on training providers if you need to obtain one.

  Right to Work in the UK: You must be able to provide original, valid documentation proving your eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.

  Excellent Communication & Professional Demeanour: The ability to communicate clearly and calmly with the public, clients, and team members is paramount. You must present yourself smartly and professionally at all times.

  Reliability & Flexibility: Event work often involves unsocial hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. We need candidates who are punctual, reliable, and available for shift work at short notice.
