Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Oversee all daily warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping to meet strict KPIs and customer SLAs.
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of warehouse operatives, Warehouse Assistants, and shift supervisors, conducting performance reviews and coordinating training.
- Implement and maintain robust health & safety protocols, ensuring full compliance with HSE regulations and conducting regular site risk assessments.
- Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock reconciliations, and efficient use of the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Optimise warehouse layout and workflows to maximise space utilisation and operational efficiency, reducing waste and costs.
- Liaise with transport planners, customer service teams, and senior management to ensure seamless end-to-end supply chain coordination.
- Prepare operational reports on productivity, accuracy, and incidents for senior management review.
- Manage the recruitment of temporary staff through agencies, including Staffing Agency, to cover peak periods or staff shortages.
Essential Skills & Requirements
- Proven experience (3+ years) in a Warehouse Manager or similar supervisory role within a distribution, logistics, or manufacturing environment.

- Excellent working knowledge of health & safety legislation, specifically relating to warehouse operations (manual handling, forklift safety, etc.).
